The Reason a Militarized Police Force is So Dangerous

(Don’t miss photos below).

Not good. Not good at all. With a militarized police force, all a leader with racist tendencies needs to do is to wait for (or prompt) an incident that justifies martial law. Then the switch gets flipped and fearful citizens cling to that fascist leader and his easy answers that blame “the other” for their pain. It’s too bad we spent the last 20 years championing this one policy (at link below) that created the economic insecurity here in America that is historically conducive to the rise of racism and fascism.

When leaders militarize their police forces, it means they’re probably planning to enact policies that will upset the masses and they’re afraid large numbers of citizens may rise up against those policies.

Leaders like Trump and Hitler would just be loudmouths ignored in the town square without awful economic conditions that make people desperate enough to fall for those loudmouths.

Here’s what we and our political leaders on both sides of the aisle did to create fertile ground for the rise of fascism in America.

(Don’t miss the 2 minute film clip at link above — glimpse of a surprisingly well made 1947 US War Dept film short designed to play before movies to push back against fascism. Strangely timely today).
