Hey #resistance ! It’s happening. A judge gave the go ahead for construction and the bulldozers are warming up to destroy a chapel on land owned by nuns. A giant oil company is about to attempt to plow through Lancaster County to continue building the controversial Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline.
The pipeline won’t help Pennsylvanians. It will instead make even more money for a huge oil company which wants to build the pipeline so it can sell natural gas overseas at higher prices. We pay the environmental costs. They get the profits. They don’t even pay for the gas they get out of our ground. They just pay a minuscule impact fee and our resource becomes theirs. We’re being played for suckers and they’re getting us coming and going.
This new pipeline is slated to run right through beautiful Central Pennsylvania. The pipeline will run directly through the property of nuns in Lancaster County, members of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. They “concluded that allowing a natural gas pipeline through their cornfield violated their belief in protecting the environment. They refused to strike a deal with the pipeline company.”
Peaceful protests will rise to meet this challenge to our community. Is Central PA the next Standing Rock? (See Washington Post article below).
With today’s announcement by the Central Penn Business Journal, the rubber is about to meet the road. And Central Pennsylvanians are TAKING A STAND! They will be working on your behalf and engaging in peaceful nonviolent protests. You can support their effort (and you don’t have to get arrested to do it).

Look at this photo. Do we want to run the risk of this happening in Central Pennsylvania? See list above. Thousands and thousands of pipeline accidents have happened here in the U.S. Pipelines are not as safe as industry wants us to believe.
