Donald Trump represents the LAST GASP OF FAILED PATRIARCHY. The exciting news is that we can replace that Neanderthal Cartesian reductionist view of the world. We can instead develop a more accurate feminine outlook that is consistent with systems theory. WATCH THE 3 MINUTE CLIP BELOW from the award-winning film Mindwalk. Incredible. It makes it so clear what’s at stake and offers the really good news that real transformation is possible.
Funny to think that a new mindset can save the world. We keep desperately trying to fix the countless economic, social and environmental symptoms of the failed patriarchal mindset. Those efforts are necessary but not sufficient.
What we really need is to treat the source of the problem: our delusional view of the world. We have to wake up from the flawed dream that everything is separate. Science makes the web of interconnectedness clear. We are part of a web of relationships. It’s not the parts that are most important. It’s the relationships between them.
And, with an understanding of that interconnectedness and our small place in the web of relationships, compassion arises and all things are possible.
Martin Luther King, Jr. put it like this: “I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. And you can never be what you ought to be in until I am what I ought to be. We are, all of us, inextricably linked.”
Albert Einstein put it this way: “A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
